Important: Important Updates

Dear patients,

Important Update – From 1 October 2025

From 1 October 2025, all GP practices are required to ensure patients can contact the surgery during core hours (08:00–18:30, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

We remain fully committed to being accessible during these times.

What this means for you:

  • You can contact us online, by phone, or at reception during our core hours.

  • We will always make sure you can reach us if you need help.

  • If your condition is urgent and our same-day capacity has been reached, we cannot safely process urgent requests through the routine appointment system.

👉 If you have an urgent medical problem after we have reached safe capacity, please call NHS 111.

  • NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • They can assess your needs, give medical advice, and direct you to the most appropriate service.

Routine Appointments

  • If your request is not urgent, please use our online form to request a routine appointment.

  • This helps us to keep urgent appointments available for those who need them most.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us to keep services safe and fair for all patients.

Thank you,
Woodview Medical Centre
