We are pleased to advise that we are well on our way in the government's programme to vaccinate all the adult population. If you are over the age of 40, are clinically extremely vulnerable, have a serious underlying condition or are a carer eligible for a carer's allowance or the primary carer of an elderly or disabled person who is at increased of COVID-19 mortality and have not been invited for a vaccination please let us know.

We have administered most of the second doses for those people vaccinated on 30th December 2020, 2nd January 2021, 9th January, 23rd January, 30th January and 6th February. We have attempted to contact everybody but if you have not yet had your second dose please let us know as a matter of urgency.

Those patients with mobile phones will receive a link to book their own appointments but if you have any difficulties please do call us. Patients without mobile phones will receive a letter or telephone call if we have a current landline telephone number for you. We are currently holding joint clinics with the other member practices of our Primary Care Network, Moulton Surgery and Earls Barton/Penvale Park Medical Centre at Moulton Community Centre, Sandy Hill, Reedings, Moulton, Northampton, NN3 7AX.

Please note that this group includes patients who will be 50 by 31st March 2021

If you are aged 50 – 64 the vaccination provided to the practice is Flublock. This medicinal product does not have a UK marketing authorisation but has been given authorisation for temporary supply by the UK Department of Health and Social Care and the Medicines & Healthcare products regulatory Agency for immunisation against influenza. To help stop the spread of COVID-19

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic we have had to change the way in which we work. The main doors to the surgery are closed as we wish to avoid patients having to come to the surgery as much as possible and most queries can be dealt with via the phone or using one of the electronic systems available.

If it is necessary for you to come to the surgery we can accept your prescription requests, samples and forms though the window in reception, if you have no other way of getting them to us. Please knock on the window and a receptionist will come to you.

We are continuing to offer a full service but most clinician appointments will initially be over the phone. If they feel you need to be seen face to face they will arrange for you to attend the surgery or we are also conducting video consultations. It is important that our patients continue to seek medical advice for serious conditions of if they develop symptoms that cause concern. We also strongly encourage patients to come for their screening and immunisations.

Please do not attend the surgery if you have a new persistent cough, a raised temperature or a change in taste and smell
